How long does a complete project development take from the site to readiness for construction?
The overall development period varies depending on the project type and region. Wind power projects typically take four to six years due to the BImSchG procedure. Ground-mounted PV systems can be developed much faster, depending on the municipality. ENACOM communicates realistic timetables from the outset.
Does ENACOM develop projects on its own account or on commission?
Both are possible. ENACOM develops its own projects from its portfolio as well as commissioned projects for investors, operators or owners who require external development capacity. We clarify the project structure in the first meeting.
What happens if a permit is not granted?
If a project fails to gain approval, owners and tenants do not incur any costs. ENACOM assumes the development risk and jointly examines whether alternative development paths are possible.
In which federal states is ENACOM developing projects?
Our focus is on eastern Germany – Brandenburg, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. We also develop in other federal states and in Slovakia.
Can ENACOM take over a project that another company has started?
Yes, we get involved in projects at every stage of development. After a complete status analysis, we seamlessly take over the further development, including ongoing approval procedures, secured sites and existing expert opinions.
Does ENACOM also support the project after approval through to construction?
ENACOM develops projects until they are ready for construction and supports the handover to the operator or investor. We offer project management during the construction phase as an independent service, seamlessly following on from the development.
